Georg Philipp Telemann: Enlightenment and Postmodern Perspectives Conference (2017)
Exploring the subject of "Urban Contexts" with abstracts presented by Wolfgang Hirschmann (Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg), Daniel R. Melamed (Indiana University), Tanya Kevorkian (Millersville University), Jeanna Swack (University of Wisconsin-Madison), and Carsten Lange (Zentrum für Telemann-Pflege und -Forschung,Magdeburg). Presenting on the topic of "Telemann and the Bach Family" is Steven Zohn (Temple University), David Schulenberg (Wagner College), Ellen Exner (New England Conservatory of Music), and Jason Grant (The Packard Humanities Institute).
There will be a banquet for conference participants to follow at the Red Owl Tavern from 6:00pm-7:45pm (433 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106).
