Georg Philipp Telemann: Enlightenment and Postmodern Perspectives Conference
This conference explores multiple topics in relation to Georg Philipp Telemann and his music. Exploring the topic of "Poets and Cantatas" are abstracts written and presented by Carsten Lange (Zentrum für Telemann-Pflege und-Forschung, Magdeburg), Brit Reipsch (Zentrum für Telemann-Pflege und -Forschung, Magdeburg), Nina Eichholz (Michaeliskloster Hildesheim – Evangelisches Zentrum für Gottesdienst und Kirchenmusik), Ralph-Jürgen Reipsch (Zentrum für Telemann-Pflege und-Forschung, Magdeburg), and Kota Sato (Tokyo, Japan). After lunch, "Performance Histories" will be explored with abstracts presented by Michael Maul (Bach-Archiv Leipzig), and Nik Taylor (Washington, D.C.).
A recital performed by Temple's own Dr. Lawrence Indik, baritone and Dr. Joyce Lindorff, harpsichord will follow at 3:45pm.
