Whether you're conducting a rapid review or a full systematic review, effective data extraction is critical to producing transparent and trustworthy results. This hands-on workshop is designed to guide you through the essential steps of extracting study data for evidence synthesis. You’ll learn how to identify key data elements, design user-friendly extraction forms, and navigate common tools like Excel, RevMan 5, and SyRF. Through real-world examples and group activities, you'll gain practical strategies for consistent, accurate, and reproducible data extraction—no matter your review timeline.
This workshop is ideal for graduate students, faculty, clinicians, researchers, and librarians working on evidence synthesis projects. All materials will be provided, including sample forms, a practice packet, and tool comparisons.
This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link. This workshop will not be recorded, but a copy of the slides will be emailed after the workshop concludes.
