GIS Day

    College of Liberal Arts

GIS Day at Temple is part of the national celebration of how mapping technology can make a difference in our society. The event is free and open to the public. The theme for this year’s GIS Day at Temple is Public Policy and GIS.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is the technology behind anything that combines data with maps. If you've ever used Google Maps or Yelp, you're using GIS. It lets us visualize, question, analyze, and interpret data to understand relationships and patterns across space and has wide applications across many fields. Join us to hear from academics and professionals who are using GIS in the fields of business, health, education, planning, journalism and more.

Attendees are encouraged to drop in for individual sessions.

For a full calendar of events, please visit our GIS Day site.
