Temple University is pleased to announce that we will once again be hosting geographic information systems (GIS) Day in 2017. GIS Day provides an international forum for users of geographic information systems (GIS) technology to demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
GIS links locations (where) to information (what), allowing us to question, map, analyze and interpret data and better understand spatial relationships, trends and patterns. GIS applications are increasingly essential to science, industry and government and are quickly becoming important in everyday life for people and communities.
This FREE EVENT will include lightning talks by many groups at Temple University and around Philadelphia on how GIS is used to make a difference, an employment panel, and a keynote address. Register for this free event here.
