    College of Liberal Arts

Join us for "Global Hip Hop and the New Muslim Culture," with honored guests, interactive performances with local rappers, spoken word artists, poets, DJ samples, and rhythmic beats set against large screen images and film clips. This interactive event will feature a lively on-stage talk with Dr. Sohail Daulatzai, University of California-Irvine professor and curator of Return to Mecca: The Art of Islam and Hip Hop featuring Most Def, as well as DJ Reezy, Jakk Frost, Misundastood, Victor Jackson, Ndeen Al-Barqawi, Sharoz, and Husnaa Hashim.
