Documenting LGBTQ+ Gaming Histories: A recap of the last decade and look to the future of the LGBTQ Game Archive
Drawing on Dr. Shaw’s work creating and maintaining the LGBTQ Game Archive (2015-present) and co-curating and crowdfunding support for Rainbow Arcade (Schwules Museum, 2018-2019), the world’s first exhibit of queer gaming history, this talk will focus on the lessons learned from and practical considerations of creating a public-facing, ongoing LGBTQ research project and exhibit. It will also discuss more recent projects, including creating information graphics for public audiences.
This talk will be co-sponsored by the Departments of Gender, Sexuality, and Women Studies and LGBT Studies.
