Graduate Speaker Series: Best Practices for Publishing Journal Articles

Klein College of Media and Communication

    About the lecture

The Journal of Communication receives roughly 750 original submissions annually, and the trend line indicates a continued increase in that figure for the coming years. Now that Dr. Holbert has been in the role of the outlet’s editor-in-chief for a few years, he will be sharing thoughts regarding peer-review procedures, editorial decision making and how these processes are evolving. The goal of the talk is to help scholars better understand where best to place their work and how to navigate the journal submission process.

    About the speaker

Dr. Holbert was recently named an International Communication Association (ICA) Fellow and is editor-in-chief of Journal of Communication.
