After living with a debilitating chronic illness for over five years, Kristine Trever Weatherston reflects on her personal experiences and applies her storytelling skills and creative media practice to a documentary about her journey to remission. In the DIY production of her autodocumentary, she utilizes a variety of assets and media sources, including archival footage, personal videos, photos, social media posts, animations, as well as iPhone 7 voiceovers recorded in a small closet filled with teddy bears to muffle sound. In addition to a screening of her short nonfiction film My More Beautiful Ghost, Trever will share her DIY video production tools and hacks. She'll also discuss how to fundraise your creative work via Indiegogo and submit completed projects to film festivals and competitions via Film Freeway.
