Guest Artist Recital: Matthew Holm, percussion

    Dr. Matthew Holm is currently Director of Percussion Studies at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio where he has built a studio of national distinction. Holm’s extensive orchestral experience includes performances with the Phoenix Symphony, Minnesota Orchestra, Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra, Duluth-Superior Symphony, and the Orchestra of the Americas. 

    As a recitalist, Holm has performed on three continents and nearly every contiguous state in the United States. He has performed as a concerto soloist with the orchestras at Arizona State University, the University of Minnesota, and Kent State University, as well as the W.D. Packard Band and the Northern Illinois University Symphony Band. Dr. Holm won three consecutive DCI championships as a member of the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps and continues to work with drumlines throughout the country. Holm is an Innovative Percussion Artist, performing exclusively on Marimba One keyboards and Black Swamp drums and accessories.
