Using a discovery made at Temple University in Philadelphia, Dr. Kamel Khalili and the team at Excision BioTherapeutics have eliminated HIV from infected animals. This is the first study of its kind, and it was recently published in Nature Communications. Temple will host a panel including key inventors, administrators, and angel investors, discussing the fundamental discoveries that led to this breakthrough and the role Temple University and other members of our innovation ecosystem play in helping to commercialize discoveries like this.
This engaging panel will be moderated by Katie Beddis, Senior Director of Development, Lewis Katz School of Medicine - Temple University.
