    Mark D. Johnston is Professor of Spanish at DePaul University (Chicago). His scholarship broadly spans medieval Castilian and Catalan literature, history, and culture, especially the life and career of Ramon Llull, in works such as The Spiritual Logic of Ramon Llull (Oxford, 1986) and The Evangelical Rhetoric of Ramon Llull (Oxford, 1995). His most recent work includes Medieval Conduct Literature (Toronto, 2009) and studies on the writings of Hernando de Talavera, the first archbishop of Granada after 1492.
