Please join us for a book talk by author Mateo Jarquín, Assistant Professor of History and Director of the Program in War, Diplomacy, and Society at Chapman University.

Invited by Temple’s Center for the Study of Force and Diplomacy, Jarquín will present his first book, The Sandinista Revolution: A Global Latin American History, a diplomatic overview of this 1980s Central American war that de-centers the role of the United States while emphasizing that of Latin American neighbors. Jarquín is the grandson of a Nicaraguan president and earned his Ph.D. in history from Harvard University.
