Publishing research is an integral part of a health sciences career. Case reports are “the” original medical literature and a terrific way to start your research and publishing journey. This workshop explains how to write and where to publish a case report. The components and organization of a case report, guidelines and approaches for writing, and how to increase chances of publication will be reviewed. Distinct types of case reports will be discussed. In addition, we will offer strategies for finding and choosing a journal for publication while avoiding predatory publishers.
