The American community in Rome invites you in saluting our veterans at the Sicily-Rome American cemetery and memorial in Nettuno, Italy on Thursday, November 11.
Journey back in time with us to celebrate the service of all American military Veterans and to remember our World War II heroes who fought in Italy to preserve the rights, privileges, and freedoms we enjoy today.
Special highlights include:
- A tour of the Sicily-Rome Cemetery & Memorial and its ornamental Italian gardens, noted to be among the most beautiful and meticulously maintained shrines in the world
- Chapel small group visits, which is otherwise temporarily closed to the public
- Participate in the closing '13-FOLD' flag ceremony, honoring those who gave a portion of his or her life for the defense of our country to attain peace throughout the world.
- Escorted group train travel from Rome and Nettuno, and back. Green Pass required.
There is a 10 minute walk from Nettuno train station to the Cemetery/Memorial, and return.
Free admission. Roundtrip train tickets cost €7.20, children under 12 free. Departing from Roma Termini station at 12:30 PM, returning at 6 PM.
