Do you like data? Do you like good looking graphs? Do you like presenting information in eye-catching ways? If you answered yes to any of those, you might be interested in learning more about data visualization. In this hands-on workshop, Research and Data Services Librarian Will Dean will show you how to take a humble dataset and present it in a variety of colorful, informative, and interactive visualizations. We will explore the features of the software programs Tableau and Excel, and discuss other advanced tools, like Gephi. Participants are encouraged to bring a dataset they are working on or ideas for visualization projects. This workshop will be held in the School of Podiatric Medicine.
Please contact Will Dean, email@example.com, with any questions or to RSVP for a group of 15 or more.
