This performance features the Temple University Studio Orchestra led by José Luis Domínguez, Temple University Jazz Band led by Terell Stafford, and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra. The first half of the performance features Duke Ellington’s Night Creature featuring Terell Stafford on trumpet and Dick Oatts on saxophone, alongside Michael Abene’s medley of Sinatra tunes from Luck Be a Lady: A Tribute to Frank. On the second half of the performance, the Temple University Jazz Band and Vanguard Jazz Orchestra perform both separately and together to wrap up the evening with a flourish.
