Jumpstart Philadelphia's Read for the Record

College of Education and Human Development
    Read for the Record

Jumpstart’s Read for the Record is a national campaign that mobilizes millions of children and adults to come together in big cities, small towns, and everywhere in between to celebrate literacy. On October 19, 2017, individuals from across the country will read Quackers by Liz Wong in an effort to break the world reading record.

Jumpstart Philadelphia at Temple would like to invite students, alumni, and community members to join us for our annual event! Volunteers will attend a kickoff event on Temple's campus and then disperse to local preschool centers to read with preschool children. Volunteers must be available from 8:30-11:30 on October 19th.

If you are interested in participating, please register in advance of the event.

Please contact Emily Garcia, Jumpstart Senior Site Manager at emily.garcia@temple.edu or 215-204-2394.
