Juneteenth Celebration: William Still at 200

Institutional Diversity, Equity, Advocacy and Leadership (IDEAL)

Join the Blockson Collection as we celebrate Juneteenth and commemorate the bicentennial of William Still's birth (1821-2021).

Charles L. Blockson and Valerie Still will talk about the importance of William Still, the Underground Railroad, and its relevance today. They will also discuss connections between the Still family, the Blockson family, and Harriet Tubman, and the fight for freedom.

This program is part of the Black Lives Always Mattered! public program series at the Blockson Collection, which has been supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
