Welcome to Love Data Week, an annual celebration of all things data! This year, we offer workshops based on each step in the data lifecycle. Today’s step is: Analyze!
Remember when your teacher told you to ‘show your work’? Jupyter Notebooks is a platform that allows users to test and demonstrate their data analysis and visualizations by showing all the steps taken and letting others reproduce them. Jupyter is also a good platform for learning coding languages like Python and R that are commonly used to analyze and visualize data. Alex Wermer-Colan of the Loretta C. Duckworth Scholars Center will provide an introduction to using Jupyter Notebooks with Google Colab. No coding experience is required.
This workshop will be offered as an online session via Zoom. You must register for this workshop. You will receive a registration confirmation email, which includes the Zoom link for the workshop. On the day of the workshop, participants should log into their temple.zoom.us accounts in order to skip the waiting room. If participants are not Temple affiliates, they should use their first and last names in order to be admitted to the session. Participants do not need a video camera or a microphone, but will need an audio connection to hear the instructor.
