    Temple University Libraries
    clara ward singers

September is Gospel Music Heritage Month and the Blockson Collection will mark this celebration by remembering Sam Cooke, Marion Williams, The Clara Ward Singers, The Dixie Hummingbirds, and other gospel legends.

Special guests include Rev. Joe Williams, Laverne Williams, Toni Rose, Christ United, and the reunion of the Sons of the Birds. The program will begin with the presentation of the film Shout Hallelujah!, which features the history of gospel music and its many styles. We invite you to join us!

    Registration is encouraged.
