Temple University alumnus and Big Bang theory actor Kunal Nayyar will be signing copies of his new book Yes, My Accent Is Real: And Some Other Things I Haven't Told You in the Tomlinson Theater Lobby on Friday, October 9 at 2:00 pm.
InYes, My Accent Is Real, a collection of humorous, autobiographical essays, Kunal Nayyar traces his journey from a little boy in New Delhi to the confident, successful actor on the set of TV’s most-watched sitcom. These witty and often inspiring tales tell the story of a young man who traverses two continents in search of a dream, along the way transcending culture and language (and many, many embarrassing incidents) to somehow land the role of a lifetime.
Kunal Nayyar (TFM '06), best known as Raj on the hit show The Big Bang Theory, studied acting at Temple University, earning an MFA in 2006. Recently, he appeared in the off-Broadway production of The Spoils, written by and starring Jesse Eisenberg. Nayya, born in London and raised in New Delhi, India, first came to the United States in 1999 to pursue a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is the recipient of the 2015 Gallery of Success Award for the Division of Theater, Film and Media Arts.
