Sergio R. Franco is Associate Professor of Spanish at Temple University (Ph.D., University of Pittsburgh). His research examines the connections between literature and the other arts in 20th century Spanish American and Andean literatures. He is the author of In(ter)venciones del yo: Escritura y sujeto autobiográfico en Hispanoamérica (1974-2002) (Iberoamericana/Vervuert, 2012), and Pliegues del yo. Cuatro estudios sobre escritura en Hispanoamérica (Editorial Cuarto Proprio, 2015).
Dr. Fernando Rivera-Díaz taught in several Peruvian Universities before coming to the U.S. to pursue a Ph.D. degree at Princeton University, which he completed in 2006. His research on contemporary Latin American narrative focuses on the politics of the novel, post-identitarian narratives, the constitution of modern subjects, and political violence, with special emphasis in Andean literature and culture. He has recently published Dar la palabra: ética, política y poética de la escritura en Arguedas (Iberoamericana/Vervuert, 2011). At present he is working on a book-length study of the narratives of the Peruvian Internal War (1980-2000).
