Life at Temple University: In Yearbooks

    Temple University Libraries

We invite you to visit the new exhibition on the 1st Floor of Charles Library, located in the exhibition space: Life at Temple University: In Yearbooks. This exhibit is open every weekday from September 30th to December 6th from 8 AM to 8 PM.

The first edition of Templar, Temple's first yearbook published in 1923, began with an introduction by the founder of the University, Russell Conwell. Early editions dedicated pages to Nursing, Podiatry, and Medicine, prior to the schools’ individual publications such as The Skull. Yearbooks created by other Temple schools and colleges published less frequently and under multiple clever titles. Yearbook staff, primarily students, have worked throughout the decades to capture the student experience.

Explore a hundred years of Temple yearbooks in this hands-on exhibit presented by Temple Libraries' Special Collections Research Center.

Curated by Ann Mosher, Melissa VandeBurgt, & John Pettit.
