Please join us at the First Annual Graduate Student Conference “Liminality in Literature and Language: Affect and Migration” organized by the graduate students of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese. We welcome project proposals from graduate students, professors, and independent scholars to submit an abstract concerning liminal spaces in literature and other forms of cultural production, intersections of race, class, and gender, analyses of mobilizations and transgressions of borders, environmental and political crises, and social movements.
The conference will take place at the first-floor event space of Charles Library with panel sessions and the keynote addresses throughout the day.
The conference is made possible through the generous support of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese, Global Studies Program, CLA Graduate Affairs Office, Dr. Hiram Aldarondo, and the College of Liberal Arts.
The conference is free and is open to the public.
