Panelists

Caitlin Barry is a community lawyer whose work focuses on migrant justice, gender self-determination, and grassroots empowerment. She teaches the Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic at Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law.

Peter Gonzales is an immigration attorney by training who currently heads the Welcoming Center, a private nonprofit organization, whose mission is to accelerate immigrant integration and economic advancement. Prior to joining the Center, Gonzales was a founding partner of the Gonzales Tiagha law firm.

Miriam Enriquez is the Officer of Immigrant Affairs for the City of Philadelphia. Prior to joining the OIA, Enriquez served as City Councilman-at-Large Dennis M. O’Brien’s Director of Legislation and Policy where she was instrumental in crafting and passing landmark legislation to protect immigration services consumers in the City.

Sundrop Carter is the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Immigration and Citizenship Coalition. Before coming to PICC, Carter worked with organizations and activist projects supporting immigrant workers fighting for justice at their workplaces and received her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.

Naroen Kenneth Chhin is a co-director of 1 Love Movement which is part of the Southeast Asian Freedom Network (SEAFN). Naroen serves as the Board member Philadelphia Mayor's Police Community Oversight Board (PCOB) and as the Commissioner on the Asian American Affairs Commission. 

Moderator

Jennifer Lee, an assistant clinical prof. of law at Temple's Beasley School of Law. She directs the Social Justice Lawyering Clinic at the Sheller Center for Social Justice, where she works with law students to represent individuals and organizations on critical issues affecting low-income individuals in the region.
