Renowned British musician Will Druiett began playing the tuba at age 10. His natural approach to the instrument and expressive tendencies earned the young player a spot with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain just months after his start. Druiett’s exceptional talent was soon realized and at just 14 years old he was invited to join the world famous Brighouse & Rastrick Band under the direction of David King. At the age of 15 Druiett won the International Tuba and Euphopnium Association’s Young Tuba Artist Competition in Linz (2012). Soon thereafter the completion in Linz the young Druiett began to quickly receive much international attention. Mr. Druiett performed the Concerto for Bass Tuba and Orchestra by Ralph Vaughn Williams at the age of 16 with the Jenaer Philharmonie in the Weimarhalle.
Previously a member of National Jeugd Orkest and Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, Druiett has performed with: Vlaamse Opera & Ballet, La Monnaie De Munt, The Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, and Opera Nova Bydgoszcz.
Druiett has also appeared on recitals throughout Europe, USA, and Asia. Recently Will was invited to perform as a soloist as part of the 79th Vienna Philharmonic Ball in the Musikverein.
