Mercury in transit viewing event

    College of Science and Technology

On Monday, November 11 Mercury will transit—or pass in front of—the Sun for the first time since 2016. From Earth, only transits of Venus and Mercury are possible. This all-ages event will feature CST Physics faculty, a variety of viewing instruments, scale models, computer simulations and activities.  The event takes place in the new Charles Library’s four-floor terrace with its commanding views of the Temple campus and the eastern sky.
