Mock Classroom Experience: Approaches to Support Children with Austism Spectrum Disorder

    Attend a mock classroom with Temple University professors Dr. Amy Lynch and Dr. Rebecca Alper. This class will introduce autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and showcase interdisciplinary approaches to treatment. Dr. Amy Lynch will discuss the role of the occupational therapist to promote participation in daily activities for children with autism. Dr. Rebecca Alper will discuss the role of the speech-language pathologist in supporting children with ASD and give an interactive demonstration of an augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) system.
