Mount Moriah Cemetery Ecological Restoration Work Day

    Participants will assist with an ongoing ecological restoration project at Mount Moriah Cemetery, a 160-year-old abandoned cemetery located in Southwest Philadelphia. The Friends of Mount Moriah Cemetery, a group of citizen volunteers, is embarking on a project to remove invasive species and restore native plants and wildlife habitat. Activities may include seeding, planting, invasive species removal and identifying/uncovering grave markers.
