    Movie Book Club: Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier

    The Smithsonian Documentary, “Black in Space: Breaking the Color Barrier” chronicles the historical efforts by the United States and the former Soviet Union to launch the first black astronaut into space, discussing the intersection of the civil rights movement, the space race, and the Cold War.  

    Movie screening begins at 1:00 p.m.

    Discussion is from 2:00 -2:30 p.m.

    You can register for the movie screening and discussion or watch the movie on your own here, and just come to the discussion from 2-2:30.  We will serve sandwiches.
