The Music Studies Spring 2022 Colloquium series begins by welcoming Dr. Elizabeth Margulis, whose talk is entitled "Music, Intersubjectivity, and the Narrative Imagination."

Elizabeth Margulis is Professor and Director of the Music Cognition Lab at Princeton University. Her book On Repeat How Music Plays the Mind (Oxford University Press) won the Wallace Berry Award from the Society for Music Theory and the Virgil Thomson/Deems Taylor Award from ASCAP. Her book The Psychology of Music: A Very Short Introduction (Oxford University Press) has been translated into six languages and is very short! Her most recent book, a very long co-edited volume for MIT Press called The Science-Music Borderlands, considers the past and future of work at the intersection of science, the arts, and the humanities.
