My Four Years in Fukushima: Teaching and Volunteering in Post-3/11 Japan

    College of Liberal Arts

A 2011 Temple graduate, Jaime Vogenitz holds a B.A. in Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese.  Selected for Japan's competitive JET program in 2012, he spent four years teaching English and volunteering in Fukushima, which will forever be remembered as the site of the nuclear meltdown following the magnitude-9 earthquake and tsunami in March 2011. Jaime Vogenitz's lecture will be based on his firsthand experiences in Fukushima.
