Join the College of Public Health for this lunch and learn as part of National Public Health Week. As an urban university, much of our faculty's work focuses on issues related to public health in metropolitan areas. The similarities, differences and opportunities to address public health issues in both urban and rural areas related to drinking water and recreational water will be discussed.
- Heather Arvanaghi, environmental scientist in the Division of Water Protection of the EPA, works to implement programming under the Clean Water and Safe Drinking Water Acts.
- Debbie Lee is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatisticsand works in the Water, Health and Applied Microbiology (WHAM) Lab, which focuses on the microbiological contamination of water and its impacts on health.
- Shannon McGinnis a doctoral student in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatisticsand is also a research assistant in the Water, Health and Applied Microbiology (WHAM) Lab.
