Navigating Healthcare Coverage for Underserved Patients

    Navigating complex legal and medical systems can be overwhelming for immigrant communities and their families needing care. The role of healthcare providers is essential in linking immigrant patients to affordable care. This webinar, designed for healthcare professionals, will provide practical strategies to assist low-income immigrant patients with navigating eligibility for medical and health benefits, application processes, and additional pathways for health insurance access to ensure equitable care.

    In collaboration with community partners at Community Legal Services, this session will cover:

    • Key laws and policies affecting immigrant patient eligibility for publicly funded health insurance.  
    • Strategies for navigating the application process for Medical Assistance and other health insurance programs
    • Considerations of public charge Participants will gain actionable insights to support and protect immigrant patients within today’s evolving legal landscape.
