African Consciousness: An Exposition of Emerging Scholarship in Africana Studies and Africology

    College of Liberal Arts

The Organization of Africology/African-American Studies Graduate Students (OAAASGS) Graduate Student Conference presents: African Consciousness: An Exposition of Emerging Scholarship in Africana Studies and Africology

For more than 50 years, the discipline(s) of Africana studies and Africology have strived to create spaces for African epistemologies to be rediscovered through means of intellectual discourse and inquiry.  The study of Africana phenomena continues to grow with the development of new scholars and the mentorship of scholars before them.

OAAASGS invites you to come to listen to current Africana studies graduate students discuss their current research projects reflecting the highest critical engagement in theorizing, explaining, or investigating African phenomena.
