Cybersounds

Center for the Performing and Cinematic Arts

This fall, Cybersounds—Temple’s premiere event for music technology—will feature the music of visiting artist David Middleton (a.k.a. DM Hotep), guitarist of the Sun Ra Arkestra, and works by Elainie Lillios, faculty members Adam Vidiksis and Sam Wells, as well as by Boyer students. The concert will include performances by pianist Negar Ghasemi, BEEP: Boyer’s electronic music ensemble, drummer Maria Marmarou, and Vidiksis and Wells alongside Middleton. DJs Tarik Inman & ali3nbody (Merritt Leidy) will present dance music sets featuring works produced by Boyer music technology students, including Jonathan Downs, ASTRO KXILLA, and others with real-time audio-reactive visuals produced by Tim Nagle. Founded by Dr. Wright and curated by Dr. Vidiksis and Dr. Wells, Cybersounds is Boyer’s long-running concert series that champions new and important works that integrate music and technology. This exciting and innovative event will take place in the Temple Performing Arts Center, on both the main stage and the lobby on November 6th at 7:30pm. The event is free and open to the public.
