This interactive workshop is designed to create dialogue around gender and sexuality inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community. Additionally, this session will discuss key terms, history, intersectionality, and systems that marginalize these identities. Lastly, participants will learn fundamental strategies about the importance of LGBTQIA+ inclusion. Students who complete the workshop are certified as a Safe Zone Advocate. The title of Advocate indicates acceptance of LGBTQIA+ identities and a commitment to working against discrimination directed toward the community.
