    In medieval Scotland, Princess Ginevra has rejected Duke Polinesso and is preparing to marry the noble knight Ariodante. Scorned, Polinesso plots to frame Ginevra of infidelity so that he can have her for himself. Considered one of Handel's finest operas, Ariodante is a testament to true love.
