In this session, Communication Sciences and Disorders faculty member Matt Hall, Fel Garcia, and Lisa Bedore will discuss the important role that trainees who speak languages in addition to English play in the areas of communication sciences and disorders and related fields. They will talk about how their own interests in languages and culture lead them to the field. They will also give examples of ongoing projects in their department that focus on increasing language access and/or access to education and special education services.
