In this workshop, we will explore the future of 3D printing in health sciences after a brief introduction to the technology. Traditional 3D printing currently has a robust user base in the field, with physicians, dentists, researchers and more using the technology to create prototype models, molds, and learning tools on the fly. The future of 3D printing in health sciences likely lies outside the traditional form of the tech, with bio-printing potentially enabling the possibility of printing human tissue and organs. We will cover these futurist advancements, as well as ongoing advancements in traditional 3D printing, roadblocks to progress, and more.
