Join the Office of Sustainability for a fun fall adventure to Temple Ambler, where nature-lovers from all corners of campus can enjoy the natural beauty of our campus arboretum and learn about critical sustainability research happening at the Field Station from TU faculty and students.
We will meet at Broad and Polett Walk Main bus stop at 12:50PM to depart on the 1:00PM inter-campus shuttle and travel together from Main Campus to Ambler. At 2:00 pm, participants will start a tour of the AR+C labs at the Field Station and hear from Temple Sustainability Climate Resiliency Research Fellow, Maddie Anglin, who will showcase her workspace, and lead an exploration of the lab before heading to the forest.
From 2:30 to 3:30 pm, the group will visit the Temple Forest Observatory. Anyone needing to catch the 3:45 pm shuttle can depart for the bus stop at the Learning Center, while the rest will stay to continue the visit.
For those sticking around, the group will tour the new Collins Nursery at the Ambler Arboretum then tour the agrivoltaics array and Spotted Lanternfly mesocosm experiment. Finally, the day will conclude with a sunset social from 5:00 to 5:30 pm in one of the gardens, where participants can enjoy snacks and discuss work happening at Ambler. The second bus will depart for the Main Campus at 5:45 pm.
Please RSVP to the event on Owl Connect for updates. For more info about transportation to Ambler, visit this page.
