Do you like data? Do you like good looking graphs? Do you like presenting information in eye-catching ways? If you answered yes to any of those, you might be interested in learning more about data visualization. In this hands-on workshop, Research and Data Services Librarian Will Dean will show you how to take a humble dataset and present it in a variety of colorful, informative, and interactive visualizations. We will explore the features of the software programs Tableau (register for a free student or teacher account: https://www.tableau.com/community/academic) and Excel. Participants are encouraged to bring a dataset they are working on or ideas for visualization projects.
This workshop will be offered as a hybrid session in person or via Zoom. To participate online, you must register for this workshop to receive the Zoom link via a confirmation email. On the day of the workshop, use the link to join the session.
This workshop will be recorded. Register to attend the live session or to receive a copy of the recording.
