Event Description:

Join us for an alumni reception and presentation on the exciting advances in Alzheimer’s research happening at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine. Associate Professor and Director of the Alzheimer's Center at Temple, Silvia Fossati, PhD, will join us to share her work unraveling the complexities of neurodegenerative disorders. For over 15 years, her research has focused on the mechanisms of cell death and stress in Alzheimer's disease and potential new therapeutic strategies. About 1 in 9 people age 65 and older live with Alzheimer’s; come hear how Dr. Fossati and the Alzheimer’s Center at Temple are working to reduce that number and be at the forefront of research.
