In fall 2018, North Philadelphia will be the home of the new Temple University Library, providing a fresh social and academic heart for the campus and redefining the Temple experience. Join Joseph Lucia, dean of Temple University Libraries, and the Metro NY Alumni Chapter to learn more about how this building will transform the libraries from passive storehouse to active site of discovery and engagement, as well as a vibrant center for community engagement and public programs. Dean Lucia will provide an in-depth look inside the space, a stunning and original structure designed by the world-renowned architecture firm Snøhetta. He’ll share his vision of what a 21st-century library is and how the new library exemplifies this. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres, beer and wine will be served.
