    The Odyssey

by Homer, adapted and originally directed by Mary Zimmerman

    directed by Brandon McShaffrey

    Wednesday, March 16 - Saturday, March 26

Contemporary and imaginative, Zimmerman’s enchanting adaptation breathes new theatrical  life into the epic tale of a hero’s arduous journey home. Challenged by terrifying monsters, seductive sirens, a possessive nymph, a beautiful sorceress, and a vengeful god, Odysseus attempts to return to his faithful wife after the Trojan War. Sexy and inspired this poetic drama is The Odyssey for a new century.

“Not of one age but of all ages...This Odyssey is grand theatre!” – The Philadelphia Inquirer
