DPT Pinning Ceremony

    College of Public Health

The annual Pinning ceremony serves as the College of Public Health Department of Physical Therapy's formal induction ceremony of our first year Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) class into the profession of physical therapy. This marks the beginning of their journey to become a physical therapist that embodies the characteristics of a caring and competent healthcare provider. Each student receives a pin that was designed by the DPT students in the Class of 2015 and contains the acronym DPT with the Temple T in red, a caduceus symbolizing medicine, and the phrase "Magister Corporalis Motus"—Latin for "Master of Physical Motion.”
