Join the College of Public Health for the second event of National Public Health Week. The intersection of child maltreatment, criminal justice and violence interventions will be discussed in this session.
- Dr. Julia Kobulsky, assistant professor in the School of Social Work, will discuss research the area of child maltreatment.
- Dr. Ajima Olaghere, assistant professor in the Department of Criminal Justice in the College of Liberal Arts, will discuss her work on proactive policing and delinquency prevention.
- Marla Davis-Bellamy, JD, MGA is the executive director of the Center for Minority Health and Health Disparities at Temple University and director of Philadelphia CeaseFire. Davis-Bellamy will discuss the work of CeaseFire, a violence prevention intervention based on the premise that violence is a public health issue and can be prevented.
