Temple University Ambler has of history of farming dating back to the 1800s and likely even longer. The Pennsylvania School of Horticulture for Women — the forerunner to Temple Ambler — was a working farm.
In 2019, farming research of a different sort is taking place on campus. Students, faculty and staff continue to expand a fully accredited — and constantly growing — aquaponics garden and research lab, which has taken root in the lower level of West Hall.
On April 25, students, faculty and staff are invited to tour the facilities and its recent upgrades while learning about aquaponics firsthand! Light refreshments will be served.
