ETHICAL PRACTICE

The course will focus on the ethical values, conflicts, and dilemmas that exist in daily social work practice. This course will utilize a variety of theoretical lenses to increase social workers’ insights into ethics as it relates to social work practice, social justice, and service. The course will include a critical examination of major ethical challenges that social workers face, particularly in direct practice. The 3-hour course will also include a section on the importance of social work supervision and mentoring to address complicated ethical problems evoked in direct practice.
